Surface density of dermo-epidermal lamellae and mechanical testing of suspensory apparatus of equine hoof

Abstrakt

We estimated surface density of primary and secondary lamellae of the suspensory apparatus and the moduli of elasticity of the corio-epidermal junction. Mechanical experiments proved that samples fixed with formalin were stiffer than frozen samples.
