Manifestations of language marginalization on the background of the Czech language

Abstract

The chapter examines how, in the face of contact with other languages, the Czech language is undergoing adaptation. It is suggested that norms be drawn up regulating these adaptations in order to secure the natural development of the Czech language.

Without such measures, legitimate concerns can be raised about the future integrity of the language in Czech society.
