Synthesis, structural characterisation and electrochemistry of bis[(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene]diruthenium complexes [Ru2(μ-RCO2)2(CO)4(FcPPh2)2] (R = H and Me)

Abstract

Complexes [Ru2(μ-RCO2)2(CO)4(FcPPh2)2] (Fc = ferrocenyl; R = H and Me), prepared by cleavage of the respective polymeric compounds [Ru2(μ-RCO2)2(CO)4]n, were studied by spectroscopic methods, X-ray crystallography and cyclic voltammetry.
