Preparation, coordination properties and catalytic use of 1'-(diphenylphosphanyl)-1-ferrocenecarboxamides bearing 2-hydroxyethyl pendant groups

Abstract

Novel polar amidophosphines 1-(diphenylphosphanyl)-1'-[N-(2-hydroxyethyl)carbamoyl] ferrocene and 1-(diphenylphosphanyl)-1'-[N,N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)carbamoyl]ferrocene were synthesized and utilized as ligands for palladium complexes and palladium-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling in polar and aqueous media.
