Minorities and cultural Conflict. Conflict as a building stone of Identity? (Example of german Minority in Prague during the years 1881-1938)

Abstract

This study analyzes the historic-ideological causes of the conflict between the Czech and the Czech Germans in Prague, a city with a Czech municipal government (since 1861). Beginning impulses of the conflict, their types of mobilization, all sorts of rituals of denial are reconsructed.
