Abstract
This case report, based on the field-work among the clients of therapeutical communities in Peru and Czech Republic, contains the results of the preliminary research of the drug addiction treatment by traditional Amazonian medicine. The main goal of the investigation was to find out if there exist other efficient methods of the rehabilitation of dependency on non-alcoholic drugs (opiates and stimulation drugs) than substitution (with methadone, subutex etc.) which currently prevail in Europe and is mostly abused by long-term users.
