Abstract
The theme of the article is co called aggregates – physical objects composed of other physical objects. We are dealing with the issue of perception of aggregates, understanding their meaning, and relations between the whole and its parts.
Some examples are used to demonstrate that various aggregates created within contemporary visual art and architecture, and discussed by art theorists, can serve as fruitlful sources for cognitive science.
