Abstract

We focused on diversity of chrysophytes in such types of habitats that had not been studied in the region before – small ponds, forest pools and headwater streams. In 10 localities we found altogether 20 chrysophyte species.

Living chrysophytes were also observed in sediment samples, though they are generally believed to be planktonic.
