Abstract
Rilke is the first, who mentiones the fact of vanishing of things. This happens in connection with the hegemony of technology.
An analysis of historical relations with Marx´s concept of industrial machinery, Nietzsche´s concept of nihilism, Heidegger´s concept of the origin of the work of art are aiming to depict the main features of modern thought.
