Population changes of common birds in the Czech Republic: comparison of atlas mapping with annual monitoring data

Abstract

The study examines accurancy of large-scale population changes estimates in common birds. It was found that estimates based on atlas mapping data are less precise.

As a result, they might provide biased image of bird population trajectories towards overly optimistic conclusions.
