Sport fishery statistics, water quality, and fish assemblages in the Berounka River in 1975-2005

Abstract

Data on water quality and caught carps were used as environmental and data on fish assemblages as species data. The influence and strength of environmental data on fish assemblages were tested by DCA and RDA analysis.

It was shown that the fishery statistics could be used as a source of information about fish assemblages in the past when no other data exist.
