Abstract
European project CITIES intends to activate chemistry education by connecting the school education with chemical practice. Within the project outputs are three laboratory courses focused on subjects or products that we meet relatively often.
Course “Everyday life chemistry” was verified in spring 2008, the course was done by 30 secondary school teachers; in spring 2009, 40 teachers came to verify laboratory course “Forensic chemistry: Chemist being detective”. The questionnaire that was filled in by coming teachers showed that these subjects are stimulative both for teachers and for their pupils.
