Abstract
Radon-222, a radioactive gas, is generated by the decay of U-238 in rocks. Radon penetrates from the geological basement into dwellings.
High radon concentration in dwellings cause increased radioation exposures. Radon index of a site determined by measurement is an indication for the level of protection of a building against penetration of radon from the geological basement.
