Current status of the International Waterbird Census in the Czech Republic

Abstract

Monitoring of wintering waterbirds has a long tradition in the Czech Republic. In order to optimize coverage of the IWC, the “Complete Wintering Waterbird Census” project was undertaken from 2004 - 2006 to assess the current distribution and numbers of wintering waterbirds.
