Peritonitis associated with peritoneal dialysis - 32 of experience in a teaching hospital

Abstract

Incidence of peritonitis associated with peritoneal dialysis decreased over the last three decades; moreover it is possible to cure majority of cases without the need for peritoneal dialysis catheter removal. Worries about peritonitis should not limit the access of patients to this method.
