Abstract
The creation of this postgraduate textbook in the field of neurology was initiated years ago by professor Pavel Jedlička, and after his death, associate professor Otakar Keller took over the role of organizer. Representatives of the medical faculties of all our universities took part in the realization of the monograph, and thus a text was created which, thanks to the experience of its authors, has the ambition to become a basic textbook in this field.
The monograph is recommended especially for postgraduate studies, it is also suitable for preparation for the specialization exam. In 2006, she won the Haškovec prize in the field of neurology (prize of the Dr.
Paul Adrian Jan Janssen Endowment Fund).
