Abstract
The book demonstrates the gradual move from low interest of the Palestinian Church representatives in political evolution in Israel/Palestine towards an outspoken and ecumenically shared pro-Palestinian position starting with the first Intifada. Then, the emergence of politically influenced Palestinian theological reflection developed since 1970s including biblical hermeneutics is decribed.
Political, theological and hermeneutical development in Palestinian Churches is shown on the background of the trends in Churches of neighbouring countries (Lebanon, Syria, Jordan).
