The article reflects the fact that in the confessions of the Bohemian Reformation the ?anathema?-formulas are completely absent. As for the Confessio Bohemica the reason can be disclosed by examination of contemporary sources.
In case of Confessio Fratrum, however, direct sources are missing and we must take into account the whole ecclesiology of the Czech Brethren. The article also examines the function of ?anathema? in other confessions of the Reformation.
