Publication at Second Faculty of Medicine |
2000

Abstract

In a retrospective study the acute complications observed in 1000 consecutive ERCP were recorded. The overall acute complication rate was 7%.

Bleeding following sphincterotomy was not relatively frequent when the pa- pila was located at the rim of or inside a diverticulum, compared to patients without a diverticulum. Bleeding was not observed more frequently in patients after precut papillotomy.
