Abstract
Changes in protein synthesis, proteolysis, branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) oxidation and BCAA turnover are estimated under physiological conditions and using different models of proteocatabolic illness. The aim of the project is also to analyse the effet of several substances (e.g. glutamin) on metabolism of proteins and amino acids.
