How satisfied are young Czech physicians in their profession?

Publication at Third Faculty of Medicine |
2003

Abstract

Though a large number of young physicians is not identified with their professional choice, their total professional satisfaction is above-average. Highest satisfaction was achieved in autonomy and interpersonal relations including stimulation of personal growth while lowest satisfaction was with the financial reward, social status and increasing demands on ethical and legal accountability.

Meaningfulness resulting from altruistic help to the sick was also highly valued.
