Abstract
Prostate cancer is cause of death in 50 % of patients with this diagnosis. Contemporary treatment modalities of locally advanced and metastatic prostate cancer are insufficient.
Authors discuss possibilities of prostate cancer gene therapy. They describe approaches to DNA transfer by viral and non-viral vectors, possibilities of corrective gene therapy, cytoreductive gene therapy by suicide genes and immunotherapy with DNA manipulation
