Abstract

Post-traumatic affections in the esthatic triangle of the face, namely in the orbital region are often the cause of serious disfiguration. Its component may also be strabism in consequence of injury in the orbital region or trauma in the CNS.

A lacking contour of the orbit evokes an impression of a void expression in the face that may be accented by strabism of an even blind eye, causing further disharmony. Successful elimination of strabism can contribute to an improvement of the patient's face as well as of the patient's selfconfidence.
