Abstract
According to the definition, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a reaction to an extreme traumatic event. Based on the diagnostics criteria, life, or healthy, or body integrity, or important value threaten events are considered.
Typical events are war experiences, torture, mugging, assault, accident, nature catastrophe, but also knowing of a life threaten diagnosis, or a traumatic medical intervention.
