The overview of defined forms of urinary incontinence and its relation to the overactive bladder are described. The special problems of urogynecology in elderly are discussed.
There are described the up-to-date methods of diagnostics and treatment of these disorders. According to their own experience the authors reccomend suitable procedures in stress incontinence and in women with an overactive bladder.
Non-invasive diagnostics, urodynamics and ultrasound examination are recommended. In the treatment in elderly patient they prefer conservative procedures, too.
The approach to the patients should be individual especially in cases of surgically treated stress urinary incontinence
