Abstract
Prematurity accounts for up to 70% of perinatal mortality and 75% of perinatal and infant morbidity. The causes of preterm labor are multifactorial, but the dominant role is played by infections spreading ascendantly and the resulting infected amniotic syndrome (SIA)
