Abstract
This research is aimed to the determination of the changes in the cardiac energetic output for three different modes of cardiac rhythm pacing. The echocardiography investigation of thirteen patients with the permanent dual-chamber pacemaker implantation was carried out.
The myocardial energetic parameters which are not directly measurable - the stroke work index and myocardial oxygen consumption were determined by using the numerical model of the human cardiovascular system developed in the Institute of Thermomechanics CAS. The comparisons of the resulting data were made by the Student's test.
