Abstract

A chapter in the book is devoted to genetics of obesity - polygenic and monogenic forms. The regulation of energy balance in the central nervous system is mentioned as well.

Further, clinical cases of monogenic forms of obesity are presented. The end of the chapter is devoted to clinicians dealing with obese patients.
