Abstract
The methodology for reporting and analysis of adverse events in inpatient facilities is directly related to the European Union Council Recommendation of 9 June 2009 on patient safety, including prevention and control of infections associated with health care (2009 / C 151/01). Adverse events are events or circumstances that may result or have resulted in physical injury to the patient, which could have been avoided.
Furthermore, the adverse events seen cases where injury to the patient is only psychological or socio-economic as well as cases where medical equipment is damaged or its staff.
