Clinical coaching as a method for adherence improvement in psychotic disorders

Abstract

Medication nonadherence represents an obstacle for better treatment ouctomes in psychotic disorders. Although causes, correlates, predictors and impacts of nonadherence are well described in scientific literature, adherence improvement in real clinical practice remains a true challenge.

Based on the assumption that nonadherence represents a patient's opinion and attitude we introduce clinical coaching as a complex method to achieve possible opinion change
