Antidepressant drug exposure during pregnancy: CZTIS small prospective study

Abstract

We prospectively followed group of pregnancies in years 2002 - 2009, which were exposed to SSRI. The group was compared with pregnancies exposed to new psychoptropic drugs, nonteratogenic drugs, and general population.

We observed significantly higher frequency of elective termination in SSRI group and higher frequancy of spontaneous abortion and prematurity in group exposed to other psychotropic drugs. Frequency of malformation did not vary being in expecting range
