Abstract
Colorectal cancer is among the most frequent malignancies in the economically developed part of the world including the Czech Republic. From the molecular biological point of view, the development of colorectal cancer is in most cases linked to the pathologically activated canonical Wnt signalling pathway.
The aim of this review is to present this intercellular signalling pathway, its role in the colorectal carcinogenesis and possible therapeutic implications according to our current knowledge.
