Lornoxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with a balanced blockage of cyclooxygenase 1 and 2. It is used in the short-term treatment of acute pain of various etiology.

In addition to a sufficiently documented therapeutic efficacy, it is also characterized by a relatively favorable safety profile, especially in terms of a lower incidence of gastrointestinal problems compared with other NSAIDs.
