Abstract
There are two extremely opposite approaches toward nature in contemporary Europe: nature is mere source of minerals and other materials or nature is pantheistic "mother nature". The traditional christian approach towards nature is discussed in this text.
The nature is neither just unimportant stage upon which our fight for salvation is taken place, nor nature is not god itself. For christians, nature is rather a cathedral, sacred place, and a man is responsible for the maintaining of this cathedral.
