Distribution of neuropeptide Y in nerve fibres and ganglion neurons of subepicardical plexus of rat heart atria

Abstrakt

NPY besides being localized in sympatetic fobres within the heart was found to be expressed in ganglion nourons that did not show catecholaminergic phenotype.In combination with other neurons they contribute to complex organization of cardiac plexus.
