Abstrakt
The main part of the conference (lectures, poster session and short excursions) will take place in the eastern part of the Bohemian Paradise - the so called Prachov Rocks (about 90 kilometres north-east from Prague). The scientific part will take place in the Parkhotel Skalní město.
Post-conference one day trip (May 11, 2001) will start from Prachov Rocks, pass through north-western Bohemia to Prague. The topics are: (1) rock towns in Mesozoic sedimentary rocks of Bohemian Cretaceous Basin, (2) sandstone weathering phenomena in natural conditions, (3) Tertiary volcanics, (4) slope stability, (5) large-scale brown coal mining and its environmental impact.
