Natural low-ordered solid bitumens and synthetic glassy carbons: similarities revealed using Raman spectroscopy

Abstract

Raman spectroscopy reveals structural similarities between solid bitumens from pillow-lava flows from Mítov (Bohemian Massif,Proterozoic age) and Karelian shungites. Investigated natural carbons display similar structural features as synthetic glassy carons.
