Abstract

Structure is an important factor affecting the mechanical behaviour of soils. Its effect may be well tested on structural models of real soils.

Such structural models are better controlled than natural soils and more homogeneous. Three such models (silicgel, sand bonded by cement and sand-clay mixture ) are tested and the results generalized for the soil behaviour.
