An ancient Calocedrus (Cupressaceae) from the European Tertiary

Abstract

A cone, and a seed from the late Early Oligocene of Proboštov confirm the presence of Calocedrus in the Tertiary of Europe. The same kind of foliage occurs in Tertiary of North Bohemia, Hungary and Greece.
