Abstract
The article deals with institutionalzed part of the in-service training of the teachers. It characterizes further education of teachers and mentions a brief historical survey.
It also defines goals, tasks and types of in-service training, the models of systems, educators and the evaluation of in-service training generally, but also especially in the Czech republic.
