Abstract
This study gives unique overview of research organisations' publication results and presents relatively reliable tool for identification of excellent organisations. It provides comparison of extent of excellent research results of research organisations funded by public resources according to the disciplines.
It clarifies pros and cons of bibliometric analysis for evaluation of research organisations and disciplines in the Czech Republic. It points out persisting serious deficiencies in evaluation instruments that are part of research governance system in the Czech Republic.
