Abstract
Book is interesting now that the issue of ethics in oncology has been no book devoted completely. The author currently performs in clinical pastoral care at the Oncology Clinic, General Faculty Hospital in Prague.
Chapters are devoted to the relationship of philosophy and medical ethics, ethical codes and recommendations, patient rights. symptomatic treatment, ethical issues of dying and death, euthanasia, the issue of continuity of care in the Czech Republic, communication and physician-patient relationship, communication of adverse information, truth and hope, clinical pastoral care and alternative medicine.
