Antifungal and antimycobacterial properties of 5-arylmethylidenerhodanines and their N3-substituted analogues

Abstract

Various 5-arylmethylidene- and 5-heteroarylmethylidenerhodanines and their N3-substituted analogues were synthesized. Their antifungal effects were mostly negligible.

The highest inhibitory activity (72 %) against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv was observed with 2-nitrobenzylidenerhodanine.
