What Are the Limitations of Endoscopic Management of Urothelial Carcinoma of the Upper Urinary Tract?

Abstrakt
Radicalnephroureterectomywithexcisionof the bladder cuff is the gold standard treatment for upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma (UUT-UC), regardless of the tumor location. This procedure fully complies with oncologic principles and consists of radical removal of the tumor, preventing tumor seeding by avoiding entry into the urinary tract during the procedure and tumor recurrence in the ipsilateral urothelial lining.
