Pilot analysis of pharmacoeconomic aspects of diabetes mellitus in the Czech Republic

Abstract

Cost of diabetes treatment, specially cost of late complications therapy is permanently rising. This article presents assumed cost of one year diabetes treatment as well as cost of late diabetes complications therapy.

Cost of diabetes treatment on 2002 was evaluated at 8,35 miliards Czech Crowns. One year cost of diabetes complications was evaluated at 8,63 miliard Czech Crowns.
