Abstract
The autors, following a bief overview of the clinical forms of atopic dermatitis analyze current possibilities of local and systemic treatment. They stress the need for modification of lifestyle, home environment and diet of the patient.
An atopic or the family of an atopic child must be informed about the causes of disease and how outbreak of acute symptoms could be prevented. In order to obtain control over the course of the disease in more serious cases cooperation with allergologist-immunologist is required.
