Abstract

79-years old man was operated on coronary and renal angioplasty, complicated profuse hemorrhage of arteria femoralis. Six days after this procedure decreased bilateral visual acuity to amaurosis, connected with dyspnoea and sickness.

We diagnosed bilateral posterior ischaemic optic neuropathy (PION), corticosteroid therapy was without effect.
