Cytometric methods, particularly flow cytometry, are integral part of routine examination in clinical immunology and in hematology. There is not possible to establish diagnosis of leukemia and lymphoma and of defect of immunity or to monitor immunosuppressive therapy after transplantation of solid organs without cytometric examination.
There appear new cytometric methods presently e.g.examination of platelets, which may disclose their disturbances which may cause increased bleeding or contrariwise increased trombosis formation. There is wide spectrum of cytometric methods in biomedical and biological research.
