Abstract
In patients with diabetes mellitus there is high prevalence of hypertension which is associated with the more serious cardiovascular prognosis and chronic kidney failure. The development and severity of these complications are significantly decreased by the effective treatment.
Studies concerning this matter are mentioned in the article. Blood pressure values considered to be goal of hypertension treatment in patients with diabetes mellitus as well as the recommended drug combinations are presented.
