Abstract

Hemorrhoidal disease (HD) is in developed countries the most common benign anorectal disease. Prerequisite for successful treatment HN is the normalization of anatomical and physiological relationships with the subsequent disappearance of anorectal symptoms.

The optimal treatment method is selected according to the extent of involvement of hemorrhoids. Semiinvazivní a surgical procedure used to treat HN, supplemented in recent years by Doppler navigated haemorrhoidal artery ligation and stapled hemoroidopexi, when used correctly, allow an effective and safe treatment HN accompanied by a minimum of pain and a low rate of serious complications.
